Kings County Almond Blossoms
In the Central Valley there aren’t any real seasons. We’re either covered with the Tule fog during winter or dealing with summer’s dry heat, which makes the tempratures soar into the triple digits.
But there is one way to know that spring has arrived here in Kings County. The many almond and peach orchards start to bloom. Peach trees will have pink blooms; almonds have white. If seen a lot of photographers out here take advantage of the short span of these blossom for their portrait work.. Especially with the almond blossom, which can create a nice snowy effect when their petals fall to the ground.

iPhoneography365 Day 2: The San Joaquin Amtrak Corridor
Here is the second day of my iPhoneography365. Most of my Saturday consisted of traveling from Hanford to Stockton and back on Amtrak’s San Joaquin Corridor. I was going to only post one image a day for this project. But I ended up taking a lot more than anticipated today so I decided to put a series of photographs. Thanks for looking and any feed back is appreciated.
