Cyclists compete in the Category 1/2/Pro race in the Hanford Criterium held in Hanford, California. The Hanford High Lady Bullpups defended their Central Section Division II championship not once, not twice but for the third time. They ended up beating the Yosemite High Badgers 69-48 for the title at Selland Arena.
The Hanford West Huskies boys varisty basketball team, who are currently first in the West Yosemite League, played their crosstown rivals the Bullpups of Hanford High. This turned out to be one nail biter of a game with the final score being 53-52 in favor of Bullpups. For more on the game see the Sentinel.
