Hanford Sports Photography: Hanford vs Hanford West Boys Basketball

The Hanford West Huskies boys varisty basketball team, who are currently first in the West Yosemite League, played their crosstown rivals the Bullpups of Hanford High. This turned out to be one nail biter of a game with the final score being 53-52 in favor of Bullpups. For more on the game see the Sentinel.

Kings SPCA Calendar

The other day I was able to photograph Holly McKay and Rossi, her 15-month-old chow. This was to promote a great cause, the Kings SPCA.  The non-profit organization held a fundraiser for their animal shelter by selling 2010 calendars with pictures of contributed pet pictures. Portraits of Joe Gilbuena

[svgallery name="JoeGilbueno"] I had the honor of taking portraits of Hanford resident Joe Gilbuena, 83, a U.S. Navy veteran who has been in World War II, the Korean and the Vietnam wars. During World War II he survived Japanese kamikazi attacks against the USS Bunker Hill. You can find his story here.

Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-22 Returns to NAS Lemoore

Pilots from Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-22 , the Fighting Redcocks, returned to Naval Air Station, Lemoore on Tuesday, Oct. 20 after a five-month deployment aboard the USS Ronald Reagan. The fly-in is one of my favorite assignment to shoot. So much is happening so fast. It really keeps you on your toes.
